🌿 “You can’t heal what you can’t feel.” by David Kessler
These seven words say so much.
In Seasons for Growth, we accompany children, young people, and adults through grief and change — not by fixing or advising, but by holding space for feeling.
Whether it’s the ache of separation, the silence after loss, or the confusion of change, healing begins not in the head, but in the body.
💭 “The body keeps the score.” – Bessel van der Kolk
💭 “You must feel it to heal it.” – Unknown, but deeply true.
This is where Embodied Processing and somatic therapies meet our work. These approaches remind us:
👉 Emotions are not just thoughts — they are physiological experiences.
👉 Grief is not linear — it’s layered, cyclical, and stored in the body.
👉 Healing requires safe connection, curiosity, and the courage to feel what’s been pushed down or avoided.
In grief work, we often hear: “I don’t know why this still hurts.”
Perhaps the better question is: “What haven’t I allowed myself to feel yet?”
How might our healing deepen if we trusted the wisdom of the body — not just the words of the mind?
